Managing Food Waste by Extending Shelf Life for a More Sustainable Future.

THE ISSUE

1.3 billion tons of food is wasted every year around the world.

Up to 40% of all food produced ends up wasted. This equates to around 8–10% of all greenhouse gas emissions.

Just 1kg of food going to landfill produces the same emissions as 25,000 plastic bottles (500ml).

How do we help the environment

Food waste is a global issue that has a wide-reaching social, economic and environmental impact.

We passionately believe that prolonging the shelf life of products is an important step in reducing food waste. As all the products that pass its use-by date make up nearly half of what is thrown out.

By reducing the volume of wasted meat and other products there is a positive environmental impact through reduced carbon dioxide emissions, water usage, and feed consumption. Solutions that can help protect and extend the shelf life of meats, cheeses and other products also deliver a positive impact on the environment.

Our goal is to dramatically reduce environmental impacts and to make our company as sustainable as possible.
